See the Giant at the Indiana State Fair!

The state has commissioned Vic Cook, builder of The Giant and inspiration source of Earthship Corp., to build a thirty-five (35) foot long scale model of his environmentally friendly home, The Giant, and the surrounding topography. This model was on display in the entryway of the Old National Bank Grand Hall building which is located next to the Coliseum. This fascinating three dimensional model was on display for the duration of the Indiana State Fair at the state fair grounds from
August 8 – 19, 2007.

The Old National Bank Grand Hall building is the place to see the eXcel awards presented by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance featuring artistic exhibits and demonstrations by Indiana teens as well as Indiana Curiosities: the lighter side of Our Hoosier State - a display of Indiana's quirky and unusual.

"The INDIANA OUTDOORS television program had heard about "The Giant" from other TV people who had been out to film it.  We want to celebrate people who care deeply for Planet Earth, so doing a story on Vic and his house was a natural for us.  What we found was a deeply spiritual man who loves people and the environment.  The entire crew was deeply moved.  The shoot was peaceful, yet speedy, compared to other television shoots. We left richer for the experience.  Thanks for inviting us to "The Giant." Click on the YouTube link to view our story."
Sincerely,
Nancy Carlson, Executive Producer
